Platinum Hair Salon

My stylist for 30+ years had sold his salon and retired and I was traumatized! How could I find somewhere that understood me and my spaghetti straight hair? Bingo! Less than 10 minutes from home, Platinum Salon. In addition they were voted best of Chester County in 2022. •It was pouring rain the day of my first appointment but Platinum Salon was big, bright, airy and sparkly inside. •The receptionist took my rain jacket and asked if I wanted anything to drink. •They had assigned me to Gabby. She asked me to have a seat at her station first, to get to know my hair and what my concerns were. She understood I needed more weight off the bottom and a more rounded shape. •My first thought was, wait...this is her station? It was just a salon chair and a big mirror in front. Where was the countertop crammed with hair product, pictures of kids, combs sitting in the blue solution, blow driers and a huge tip jar? Answer, they all had their own petite rolling station. And the blow driers were hanging from the ceiling!! Really! The whole salon was pristine! •In addition, when she washed my hair in the back station, the height of the sink adjusted instead of the chair. Oh yes...they have chandeliers hanging from the ceiling too. •Gabby is delightful! We soon found out I had lived in the same condo community where she is. We talked so much I was afraid she was going to make a mistake. But she didn't. •After my appointment I went shopping in the wind and pouring rain. But when I came home, my hair dried and I fluffed my fingers through it. Voila! A beautiful cut! •Sometimes change is for the better. Platinum Salon is a bit more expensive than others, but I'm worth it!!! 😊

Every time I come here, I leave happy and surprised with how timely and reasonably priced it is. I’ve seen a few stylists at Platinum, but the one for me is definitely Amy! She’s fantastic. Every time I show her a picture or tell her a style I want, that’s exactly how my hair ends up looking. If you’re looking for a new salon or stylist, Amy at Platinum is the best.

This was my first time coming to the salon and Briana made me feel so welcome! She took good care of my hair and knew how to work on my ethnic curly hair! I wanted layers after having my hair all one length for years and she slayed them! She made sure to tell me each product she was using on my hair and exactly what she was doing! We made great convo and have a lot in common! I’ll be coming back soon ! Everyone was really nice!

I used to go to Platinum Hair Salon on a regular basis to get blonde highlights. My hair is naturally light and very thin / delicate. Then about two years ago I noticed that when I went I was left with an ashy "grey" tone to it. I told two different stylists there that it was too "grey" and they made adjustments, however, it still turned out grey. I went to another really renowned salon and even there it turned grey. Note that my hair is not yet naturally grey, this grey was a result of the highlights. I thought maybe this was just how my hair reacted to dye now. Anyways, yesterday I went on a whim and returned to Platinum. I selected a new stylist, Briana, mainly because it was last minute and she was available. I read her reviews online and many people spoke about her being skilled with curly ethnic hair. I was a little concerned she wouldn't be skilled with thin, straight, delicate hair like mine. Anyways, I was wrong. She did a fantastic job on my hair. It looks completely natural and the best its looked in years! My husband agrees. And no grey tones at all! Thank you, Briana. You are really talented. I will be back to see you!

I’ve been coming to Platinum for a few years now and I am extremely impressed each time! All the staff are very accommodating and provide an all around great experience. As a curly girl, I see Bri and she does wonders for my hair each and every time. She always makes sure I am happy with my service and if not offers to fix it for free. I just got a silver/gray peek-a-boo and money piece and she did a wonderful job! Platinum will be my salon for many years to come!!
